Nacido el 23 de marzo de 1986 en Sukhbaatar, Mongolia.
A soloist of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Mongolia, Amartuvshin is a Honored Artist of Mongolia. In 2012, he wins first prize at the 2012 Operalia Competition at the Beijing NCPA. The jury of the competition was presided over by Maestro Plácido Domingo (final round broadcast live on medici.tv).
From 2004 to 2009, Amartuvshin is a student of the the State University of Arts and Culture in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. His teacher is Professor Mrs. Tserenpil Eruu.
Other than the Operalia Competition, Amartuvshin has won many national and international prizes including the second prize at the All Mongolian Young Singers Competition (Ulaanbaatar, 2007), the second prize at the National Competition for Young Opera Singers (Ulaanbaator, 2009), the second prize and the public award at the XIV Tchaikovsky Competition (St Petersburg, 2011), ... In 2010 he is a semifinalist of both the 3rd International Opera Singers Contest of Galina Vishnevskaya in Moscow, and the First Paris International Opera Competition. In 2011, he is a semifinalist at the Queen Sonja Singing Competition in Oslo and a finalist at the Competizione dell'Opera (Dresden Opera Competition, Moscow).
Amartuvshin has performed in a few concerts abroad, including Romania, China, Italy, South Korea, France and the USA.
As a lyric singer, he has sung many roles including Escamillo and Morales in Bizet's Carmen, the title role in Borodin's Prince Igor, Laudon in Biligzhargal's Repentance of Lama, Yunden in Damdinsuren's Among the three saddest mountains, Tonio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni, the Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Figaro in Il Barbiere, Frank in Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Onegin in Tchaikovsky's opera, Eletsky in The Queen of Spades, Amonasro in Aida, Count di Luna in Il Trovatore, Baron and Giorgio Germont in La Traviata and Rigoletto in Rigoletto.
